Q EE — Energy, Efficiency & Resource View

EE is Q’s energy, efficiency, and resource view. It asks whether the chosen AI approach is proportionate to the value it creates.

EE can examine

  • Compute and inference demand
  • Power, water, hardware, and network dependencies
  • Direct and third-party cost
  • Latency, batching, caching, and smaller-model alternatives
  • Local/offline paths and resilience
  • Who receives the benefit and who bears the resource burden

EE is not a claim that Q can know every provider’s exact energy or water use without measured data. Estimates should be labeled as estimates.
