LEAP helps people explore big changes, counterfactuals, and possible futures without pretending the future is known.

Use LEAP when

• A decision has multiple plausible futures.

• A shock or second-order effect is important but uncertain.

LEAP boundary

Scenarios are not forecasts. A vivid scenario is not evidence that it will occur. Q keeps scenario assumptions separate from observed facts and uses LEAP to ask what would still be wise across several plausible conditions.
